Alumni Spotlight Dr. Marie Fowler

 Dr. Marie Fowler began her journey at Maple Spring Baptist Bible College and Seminary in the Fall of 2010.   She was unsure of her abilities at the time as she had been out of school since 1959.  However, it did not take long before she knew the road ahead of her required total commitment and she was ready for the challenge.

Marie started with one course as an icebreaker to get herself acclimated to the path she had to travel and travel she did.  After encouragement from her professors, she began to take two, three, four and sometimes five courses at a time, and she excelled in all of them.  Marie received her BA, MA, and MDIV degrees in Biblical studies – Old Testament Concentration.

After graduating from Maple Springs Baptist Bible College and Seminary, Marie enrolled into the Howard University School of Divinity in 2021 and as of May 2024, has graduated with a Doctor of Ministry at the Young age of 80!!!!!
